Endless Summer layout with Kylie

Hi friends!
Kylie back with you all again today to share a layout I have completed using the 'Endless Summer' collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.
You can check out the collection here.
Here is a little look at my completed design.

I totally love the wood grain finish of the backing paper! I also used a fab Butterfly cut file for this layout. I loved how soft and delicate it looked. It has been designed by Anita of Neat N Crafty Cutz
I won't lie.....I am a total newbie with cut files, having only owned a cameo for about 6 weeks. However I am loving the versatility and variety of being able to add cut files into my layouts.

I added various papers from the collection as a backing to the butterfly.

Thanks to the sweet collection of die cuts, they framed my layout beautifully. I have also used  some floral blooms from the Endless Summer collection. (*I have also added one or two extra from my stash.)

To finish and for extra texture I added a few white paint splatters.

So there you have it! I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project for this week.
Until next time,
Much love,
Kylie

Agnus | Endless Summer - Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi again :) because I loved using Cocoa Vanilla Studio's 'Endless Summer' collection for my project life album so much this month, I decided to also use this gorgeous collection to create a 12x12 layout.

I used a fun summer themed cut file from The Cut Shoppe for my title - use the code MERRY31 to save on all items from Ashley's store throughout December.

I love adding vellum to my projects, and really liked the way the tiny gold foiled triangles from the Crate Paper Wonder vellum worked with this collection and helped to create another soft layer.

I used a mix of different textures for my emblellishment clusters and spread a thin layer of gold glitter paste over a few of the die-cut ephemera pieces to add more interest and really like the way that it looks like sparkly beach sand.

Five Minute Tags with Kylie.

Hello lovely ones! Kylie with you all today. Can you believe we are only 12 days till Christmas? I honestly blinked and 2016 almost disappeared!
Today I am sharing some sweet tags I have made using Cocoa Vanilla Studio's, "Endless Summer"
I love all products by Cocoa Vanilla Studio, and the best part is it is all designed right here in Australia! #awesome!!
You can check out the range here.

I adore the beautiful, soft pastels!
These tags can easily be made under 5 minutes and I love putting them in with my snailmail, planner or attaching to a special someones gift. I have filmed a quick tutorial for you all, but before you watch it, here is a sneak peep at the finished results!

I really love my tags to have that 'shabby' appearance to them.

And lots of minor little details make a big impact in the overall effect.Such as some soft ink splotches over the top, and some coloured cotton behind my pretty flower bloom.

I was really happy with the finished result, and of course all supplies are available in the Sassy store.

So without further to do here is a look at my process video. You will be making your own tags in under 5 minutes too!

Hope you have enjoyed my project this week!
Until next time, keep creating,

Love Kylie

Weekly Planner | Pinkfresh Studios | Indigo Hills | Nae Bowell

Hey Lovelies, its that time of the week again and I am excited to be back to show you another of my fun planner pages using the beautiful Pinkfresh Studios, Indigo Hills collection. This range has some amazing products that lend themselves very nicely to planner pages. The collection has an entire sticker set that appears to be made specifically for planners.

This weeks spread I decided to really get into the stickers from the collection and layer my page with puffy stickers, chipboard stickers and the planner stickers with beautiful florals, inspirations quotes and of course those amazing hearts!

I am not one to use random word stickers or phrases in my planners but I really found it quite therapeutic just sticking in and reading over the quotes to inspire me through out the week. I love how the stickers just filled up my some what boring week. I basically cleaned house all week for a house inspection. No matter how boring the week, always remember it is important to document and capture those little moments in time.

I had seen a technique used by a few different planner girls now where they reinforce their binder holes with washi tape. I used the beautiful floral wide washi that is in the collection to add a light layer of detail behind my gold hole reinforcers. I just love all the little details just floating behind the main contents of the week.

Remember you don't have to be restricted to just washi tape and stickers. I have used strips of patterned paper cut to size to fit within my days to highlight important events like work. You can even colour coordinate your events to have particular colours to keep a consistent feel to your weekly spread.

Unfortunately there is no process video for me this week. I have decided to try and take it a little easy with the videos over Christmas. Working in retail is chaotic enough but add Christmas to the mix and look out for a whole different world of craziness. Ill be back in January with more process videos.

Jump over to the Sassy Scrapper store to grab all your Indigo Hills products. They are simply amazing and are definitely worth adding to your planner collection!

Love you guys,
Love always,
Nae xoxo

Agnus | Project Life - Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi again :) I am going through my project life album and filling in some of the gaps where inserts were needed and have started with some of our holiday memories using Cocoa Vanilla Studio's 'Endless Summer' collection.

I love the way the soft colours from this collection work with our vibrant summer photos and wanted to emphasise this contrast by using some of the die-cut directly over one of our beach pics.

When working backwards in my albums, I always looks for ways to speed up the process and often use a few sure proof techniques that will help to make the pockets look interesting and flow nicely without being over complicated.

Simple paper layers and a little bit of hand stitching helps to give pockets a sense of depth, and a few clustered embellishments add an extra pop of colour. This collection has a great range of ephemera pieces and fun enamel and wooden accents that makes putting a page together a breeze.

Printing all of the photos with a white border helps to create a unified look to the page, and a little bit of gold foiled vellum adds more interest.

I mirrored the photo placement in the large pockets on the reverse side of the page and often do this to make my pages feel balanced.

Varying the textures of the embellishments used in my clusters also helps to give each pocket more interest and the puffy stickers worked well with both the cards and photos.

Using a bit of dimensional tape helps to define the paper layers and allows accent pieces to be tucked between them.
